Consider Contributing your Chip to Charity
The one-time chip that you will be wearing in the race is yours to keep. This has always been our intention. However, if you don't want it as a souvenir, the race committee can receive a $1.50 refund for the chip from the manufacturer. This would be an additional donation to our list of charities. You will find barrels past the water as you exit the racecourse. Do not stop in the chutes to remove the chip. Rather walk past the water and move over to the side of the road to unthread the chip from your shoe. Again this is an Optional donation to charity.
If you are going to return your chip do NOT put the chip insert onto the chip. This will save us having to remove it after the race.
