FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)


Before submitting an email to the Manchester Road Race, please read the FAQs below. You may find the answer to your question or concern.


I’m having difficulty processing my credit card payment?


Your credit card billing information must be correct to process your credit card. This info may be different from the address you used in your road race account.


Please tell me about bib and t-shirt mailing procedures?

  • Every bib is mailed in a separate envelope. For each person you are registering, please make certain the address information is correct for that person.
  • The post office can choose not to deliver mail to a name they are not familiar with at an address. Please use “c/o” (care of) followed by your last name in the Address 2 line if you are taking delivery of packets for your friends and relatives.
  • Race packets (bibs and tags) are processed and mailed separately from t-shirts. It may take a couple of weeks for you to receive you packets and t-shirts.
  • If your packet is mailed to you then your t-shirt will also be mailed. If your packet is being held for pick-up then your t-shirt will also be held for pick-up.


Can someone run/walk the race without registering? Must we register even if we don’t want to be timed?


Everyone should register and wear a bib if they plan to be out on the racecourse.

Can we have strollers or dogs on the race course?

For safety and insurance purposes, no wheels of any kind (strollers, bicycles, in-line skates) and no pets are allowed on the race course.


Why do we have to pay for our t-shirts?

The Manchester Road Race is a large charitable event. If we gave out free t-shirts, those monies would not be available for donation to worthy causes.


What time should we arrive to line up for the race?

You should be heading toward the starting line by 9:30am. It can take 10-15 minutes to work through the crowds. If you park at Manchester Community College and take the shuttle, give yourself an additional 20-30 minutes. To be safe arrive at Manchester Community College by 8:30 and you will have plenty of time to arrive at the course, warm up and enter the starting line pack.


What if we can’t finish the whole race?

If you are injured, there are medical teams around the course that can return you to the start/ finish line. If you are unsure whether you can finish the race, consider carrying a cell phone so you could call a friend or relative to pick you up on the course if you can’t finish.
