Running the Race

Shuttle Bus

The annual ordeal of locating a convenient (and legal) parking space at the Manchester Road Race has been made easier, with the successful introduction of a shuttle service, provided by First Student Bus Co., of Manchester. The shuttle service transports runners and spectators to and from the race. The shuttle includes two pick up locations and a central drop off area a few blocks from the starting line. Highway message signs will direct drivers to the locations.

Pickup

  • Manchester Community College
  • Commuter parking lot in Bolton (adjacent to the old Manchester Drive In).

Drop Off

  • 146 Hartford Road, in front of Fuss and O'Neill Engineering firm, near Main Street

Times

Before The Race

  • Buses will depart from both locations every 10 minutes between the hours of 8:00 am and 10:00am and will drop riders off on Hartford Road.

After The Race

  • Return trips to both locations will run every 10 minutes between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm.

Cost - Free!

This service is provided free of charge to anyone, participants and observers alike, who are driving to the race. Complimentary bottled water will be available for riders at the Hartford Road location. No pets are allowed.
